What are the different Students Support measures


Library

The Mahavidyalaya maintains a Library and a Reading Room. Students may borrow books from the college library on depositing Rs. 100/ (One hundred - refundable) as library deposit fees. A library clearence certificate is necessary at the time of filling up the University Examination form.

Other Features
The college has two cycle stands within the campus. There is a Cheap Canteen for the students. The college has a well equipped Multi Gym in the college premises

Does the college provide any award to the students

Vidyasagar Award: For the students of Elective Bengali:
• A student of this college securing highest marks in Elective Bengali (not less than 50%) in the B.A. Final Examination of the University will receive the 'Vidyasagar Award' in the form of Cash Prize of sum of Rupees accured from the annual interest of a Fixed deposit of rs. 50007- (Five thousand) contributed by Prof. Asutosh Samanta, a retired teacher of the department of Bengali of this College

Sarat Award: For The Students of Honours in Bengali:
• A student in Bengali (Hons) of this college securing highest marks in Bengali (Hons.) (not less than 50%) in his or her final examination of the university will be given a cash prize of sum of rupees assrued from the annual interest of the fixed deposit of Rs. 10,0007- (Ten Thousand) donated by Prof. Asutosh Samanta, a former teacher in the department of Bengali of his college

Tarapada Bhattachariya SmritiAward: For the students of Phil (H.);
• A student in Philosophy (Hons.) of this college securing highest in Philosophy (Hons.) in his/her final examination of the University is given the Award. The recipient of this award gets the cash prize of money accrued from the annual interest of the Fixed Deposit of Rs. 20,0007- donated by Dr. Pinaki Ranjan Bhattacharya (Dept. of Philosophy) who retired on 31st March 2007.

Pulinbihari Bhandari Smriti Award:

• A student of Mathematics (Hons.) securing the highest marks in Mathamatics (Hons.) in his/her final University Examination will be awarded a prize accrued from the interest of Rs. 10,000/- donated by Shri Mukul Bhandari, a retired teacher of the mathematics department of this College

Lilabati Smriti Award: For the Students of Hist. (H)
• A student in History (Hons.) of this college securing highest marks in History (not less than 51%) in his/her final examination of University is given the award. The recipient of this award gets a cash prize of money accrued from the annual interest of the Fixed Deposit of Rs. 10,0007- donated by Prof. B. Chakraborty, a former teacher in the Department of History
